SARAKI, The Mafia Manager and Political Correctness:
The Nigerian politics is unique, totally different from what is obtained in other parts of the World.
Indeed, not only Nigerians have political mafias or consider political correctness, but the uniqueness attached to the understanding and interpretation of these two makes our politics a thing of humor.
Recently, there has been a show of power-play of two political factions in the ruling political party that has affected, immensely, our national functions.
Even the most politically naïve person in Nigeria today is, to an extent, familiar with the name TINUBU. And per chance you ask who is Tinubu, he is a mafia lord or mafia manager. But some people will rather use the word 'god-father'. His influence in presenting the the President as their party candidate cannot be under-emphasised. He is even accorded a position superior to others in the party 'national leader'. In this context, his name is a political trademark. His word is law in his party, rather, mafia; as such, he is a mafia manager.
But Saraki is another strong man in the party, who sees himself as an almighty and can bow to no one else. He wades his own influence on members loyal to him. But we all know that 'two captains cannot steer one ship'. Now to the issue proper.
During the tussle for positions in the National Assembly, with Senator Saraki being a contestant; the owner of the party, I mean the manager, Mr. Tinubu was outrightly against Senator Saraki. After their rumbles and tumbles, the Senator clinched power, and trying to really proof to the mafia manager that he has gotten to the peak of party power and is now an equal too, refused to allow loyalists to the manager hold any position. Well according to Political Correctness Police, that is a two-side-effect political move... Moreso, the Political Correctness Police were divided as the battling parties are their Lieutenants.
That little intra party fighting excavated into a full blown WAR. One strength Senator Saraki failed to acknowledge about the Mafia Manager is that the mafia king owns the Nigerian media. ***Smiles*** It was unleashed on the daring Senator, with ugly personal and collective secrets of his finding their ways to the public, thanks to the mafia manager.
The Senator was not given breathing space to recover, and perhaps, counter attack. The attack was religious, fierce and unending. As the attack was progressing, a simultaneous attack were on against some of Senator Saraki's allies.
The President, being a beneficiary of the of the mafia king; has pledged his loyalty by also declaring war on the Senator.
The war is still on. Everyone is fighting; but the Senator has some ever-loyal allies, and that has been his corner of comfort.
The fact these people are neglecting, precisely the President and the Senate President (the mafia king cares less) is the impact of their war on the Nation.
The Senate President has sworn to retaliate if he survives this period of persecution and on the other hand, the mafia king has sworn the Senate President will not survive. He has even gone to shop for a replacement.
And Nigerians, like people without rights and mouths, are watching the power play.
We watch; we watch. But if we continue to watch, time will pass us by and posterity will hammer us. There is only one option. Though the Political Correctness Police have come out with different stories and theorems. The only option is to do the right thing.
The Senate President might not be morally justified to hold that possesion, that should be left for tomorrow. We must wrestle our Nation from the grip of the Mafia Manager.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
