Members of NASRUL LAHI-L-FATHI SOCIETY Worldwide NASFAT left their various homes to celebrate Eid-Adha sallah with the internally displaced persons in IDP Camp located in Durumi district of Abuja. The celebration which was well attended by NASFAT members in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja was chaired by the BOT Chairman NASFAT, Alh. Abdullateef Olasupo .

The programme commenced with recitations from the Glorious Qur’an by displaced children from Gwoza and Boma, thereafter Imam Abduljelil Taofeeq Ora-Nkan led the congregation in selected prayers from the Holy Qur’an compiled in Asalatu Book of NASFAT. This was immediately followed by spiritual diet led by Ustaz Yinka Yekin Usman

The highlight of the event was Sallah Celebration with foods, drinks and Hausa music during which children of the internally displaced persons surged round the BOT Chairman of NASFAT, Alhaji Abdulateef Olasupo. The children happily formed a circle round the man and took turns to snap pictures with him.

Alhaji Olasupo seized the medium to thank the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA for keying into the Sallah celebration organized by NASFAT. The representative of NEMA, Mrs Okpara Chinwe praised NASFAT members for abandon the comfort of their homes to come and celebrate Sallah with children in IDP Camp. Mrs Okpara said this sacrifice is commendable and should be emulated

Mr Kazeem Aderogba, on behalf of NASFAT distributed Hausa version of NASFAT Asalat Books and some Islamic material. The IDP Chairman profoundly thanks the members of NASFAT for the good gestures. He implored Muslims not to distance themselves from the camp after Sallah celebration as periodical appearance and assistance will strengthen the faith of displaced persons.

Earlier before the programme commenced, a ram and a cow were killed to commemorate this year Sallah celebration.

As Nairaland converted Muslim, the recent events in the Holy Land of Saudi Arabia in which over 700 Muslima on hajj perished have brought questions to my mind.

1. Where the deaths avoidable or an act of Allah (SWT). If they were avoidable, why did the Saudis authorities not take the necessary actions to avoid it, why turn around and blame African pilgrims (Africa has the highest number of Muslims in all 6 continents).
If it is the will of Allah, why will He want to kill his true servants and bring sorrow to their families?

2. "Stoning the Devil" is part of the Hajj, yes. Is the devil a physical being or a spiritual one? If spiritual, can he be hit and injured by physical stones?

3. They say dying in the Holy Land is a sure way to enter Aljanah Firdaus. Does it mean what if Bukola Saraki (who was found to have cheated as governor in 2003) died in Makkah, he would enter Paradise straight?

4. If the people that died are going straight to Paradise, why was there frantic attempt to save the injured from dying? If earth more pleasurable that Aljanah Firdaus? And why where the people on Hajj stampeding each other to escape death.

5. This is not the first time faithful Muslims will die in Makkah. Why hasn't much been done to stop future occurrences?

I seriously need answers to these. Please help a brother's confusion.

Last bullet: in 1996, one of the sons of the former Sultan of Sokoto died in plane crash and, the Sultan said "it was the will of Almighty Allah", a few years later, the same Sultan died in another plane crash. How does one explain this Islamically?

Nice gesture from Nasfat .

I believe d Muslim umah need to do more in ds regard , for one , the vast majority of d IDP are Muslims and since we are brothers and sisters to each other ....we definitely needs to do more.

Apart from that Muslim needs to reach out more to the world to spread d light of d beautiful religion. mosques especially needs to use more of the little finance they generates to reach out to people in hospitals ,prison , IDP , people in war or disaster ravaged areas to assist the affected ones . in the course of doing this they will be sharing the message of Islam as d true and peaceful religion. that is d true spirit and meaning of Jihad.

we all need to do more to get more blessings from Allah.

Nasfat thanks for sharing love .
jazakum laha .
