Quite obviously, President Muhamadu Buhari sauntered into the Red Chamber of the National Assembly clearly after official hour to drop the much-touted list of the would-be ministers of the Federation.
The constitution of Nigeria provides that the President shall appoint at least, one minister per state of the Federation upon his assumption of office.
Suffice to state that not only did the president delay in carrying out this responsibility, four months after he was sworn in, he made it this evening, very obvious that but not for the slip of tongue made by him a few months earlier that 'he would appoint/have his cabinet in September', he would not have sent in 'some names today.
Why not the names of all the ministers; why some?

Again, Mr. President didn't say he would submit the names of the ministers before the end of September, rather, he said he will have his cabinet by September.

One of the news items that made the rounds today, shortly after the president reluctantly rushed few names to the Senate is that President Buhari has kept his promise. I have a few questions to ask in that regard:

In what way(s) has President Buhari met the September deadline he openly set for himself and the Nation?

Is it in the submission of the would-be ministers names to the Senate?

Is it in the Senate screening the nominees?
Is it in the Red Chamber ratifying their names?

Is it in the swearing in of the nominees?
Is it in the assignment of portfolios to the ministers, which actually, as a matter of fact is the ultimate of Cabinet constitution/composition?

We must learn to call a spade, a spade; condemn what is bad and commend what is good, no matter whose ox is gored.

This level of blunder/negligence either by Mr. President, the Presidency or his handlers MUST be condemned to avoid a recurrence.

You can't tell me that President Buhari who had been in the Presidential race since 2007, and for the 2015 race, campaigned for over a year, won the election since in March 2015 and was sworn in on May 29th needed to wait till October, as it is going to turn out, before being able to appoint the best of saints in Nigeria to man the affairs of the Nation as Ministers.

Where the President got the false impetus from that he is a jack of all trades to have run the show ALONE for that long with the 'best' of results being recorded in our economy and other sectors is a claim that must be difused.

After the screening, the appointment and subsequent assigning of portfolios, we shall also weigh the quality of the saint-appointee side by side whether or not they came from Pluto to have justified the wait/delay.

PMB fall my hand here o. It would have even made sense if he sent this list in the morning. Senate may have read it today. However, there will be nothing really secret about the list again on Tuesday next week as against what our oga at the top wants to achieve. Besides, as much as many Nigerians hope to see the Amaechis and Fasholas of this world there, if PMB brings them in, then the delay and suspense wouldn't have been worth it.
That's the gospel truth. What most of us want to see are the aftermath of the suspense vis a vis some names from APC big names that Are expected
