Former governor of Lagos State and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday met with a group of senators from the Senate Unity Forum, the group of senators opposed the election of Bukola Saraki as Senate President.

The meeting, which took place at Tinubu’s Asokoro residence in Abuja , was held behind closed-doors.

The meeting lasted for several hours.

About 30 senators attended the meeting

The senators refused to speak with our correspond on what was discussed at the meeting.

One of the senators, who agreed to speak simply said, “You know Senator Bola Tinubu is a great leader of our party. I expect you to understand that whatever he discussed with us must be in the interest of our party and the country at large”.

Asked whether the ministerial list was discussed at the meeting, the senator said: “We discussed many things about the polity
