The mourinho i know is pragmatic and he being who he is, should not be putting faith in average players. mourinho is trying to be ferguson who build midgets into champions. Harzard for me is still okay itz dos average guyz around that has killed his morale. pedro we all know naa average player, bench player in barcelona, diego is still a good striker, the other two 9 are clowns. Who are you calling "average players"?? These same average players won the EPL title last season in dominant fashion. Yes they may not have done well in Champions League but they were excellent last year as a unit. Unfortunately, it is a different story this year. After a spell of disappointing results, Brendan Rodgers has been sacked.

After the 1-1 draw to Everton. the fans tweeted the club owner putting more pressure on him to sack Rodgers.
Before the match today Brendan was under pressure to win the game but his team failed to hold on the lead.

Klopp and Carlo Ancelotti are favorites to take up the Liverpool job, but time will tell who eventually gets the job.

Exactly. He signs average players with all the money he gets. Most annoying is him not knowing when to praise and when to be frank and scold the players. Look at the rubbish we played today and just listen to what he has to say after the match. "We showed character, the players were excellent". Just felt like switching the tv off instantly.

The defence has been very bad consistently for 4 years and he has done nothing to improve it. I can't believe we would be leaning on skrtel and the other average defenders as our main defence line. The bench is zero. With the poor defenders you would still see him playing 3 defenders. Even juventus with better and crazy defenders don't always use such high defence line.

He plays players out of position, does not know how to place a good attacking formation to achieve what he wants. No game changing tactics. Can't read a game and make appropriate changes.

We were lucky 2 seasons ago because we had suarez and sterling who were shipping in goals but always conceding high number of goals even to small teams. Teams like crystal palace scoring 3 goals on our home turf is sacrilege. In short. It was way over due.


I don't know what kept him in that position so long. I am so happy he is gone. Next coach should be selling toure, sakho, lovren, skrtel and all other average players by january.

While I don't support Brendan's sacking as #LFC manager, I find the call to action to do the same to Mourinho as very asinine. Now since it is NairaLand, it is not surprising because it is mostly a case of ignorance. Brendan has not won anything while Mou's achievements speak for himself.
I still think Brendan should not have been sacked. He is a good manager. LFC owners are not supporting him with funds to buy quality players.

EPL is not overrated .... It has more parity .... It is NOT like a 1 team league like Ligue 1 and Bundesliga or a 2 team league like La Liga. There is more excitement and unpredictability in the EPL, thanks to better TV revenue sharing. In the other leagues, all the money keeps going to these top teams, the rest cannot even compete.
