Former President of Nigeria, President Olusegun Obasanjo remains a Nigerian President that assembled best technocrats of Nigeria origin as his cabinet members to help him manage the nation's economy. The economic team of President Olusegun Obasanjo was made up of technocrats who were drawn from the academia and other international organizations with intimidating credentias. Unarguably, they introduced different people oriented programmes. If there is one thing to remember President Olusegun Obasanjo for, I think it should be in that regard.
The economic team of President Obasanjo was made up of:
1. Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo
2. Mr. Shamsudeen Usman
3. Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala
4. Mrs. Oby Ezekwesisli
5. Chief Frank Nweke Jr
6. El Rufai (of those days) etc

Other technocrats who worked under President Obasanjo were; Prof. Dora Akunyili, Chief Bayo Ojo (SAN) Chief Afe Babalola (SAN).
About 95% of these people were not politicians, neither did they roll out dollars in support of his electioneering campaigns.

I still respect him for this.

You are suppose to take us to the next level...purportedly a leading economist in the world with tons of experience in management, our very own messiah. It just so not easy to forgive when after 6yrs, the economy is far worse than you met it. That's one mountaineously giant unacceptable f;uck up angry

Those crop of people were assembled during his second term in office because at that point he has nothing to fear about winning another election.

It's not their credentials that matter but what they achieved while in office.

They tried but the undisputable best among them is Pro. Dora Akiluyi. Her high performance is obvious to all.

Others achievements are controversial except may be madam 'due process'.

Madam Ngozi did very well during OBJ''s regime. Remember our debt pardon and NEEDS which she and Soludo championed. It was Jonathan's regime that rubbished Madam Ngozi because the entire system was messed up. Remember, she championed YOUWIN, which remains the best youth empowerment programme in the history of Nigeria.

but let us be candid here madam Ngozi did very well during Obj's regime. That GEJ 's. government messed up doesn't mean we should forget the past.

agreed
especially her making public state and local govt in newspapers
and her calling baba 's bluff when he wanted to remove budget powers from her office and her swift response to emigrant issues in her brief stint as foreign minister
but in Jona govt she was a disaster
