The common observation today is that whoever is criticizing the government does so because it is not his party in power.

As long as the government in power is the party he supports, their errors and misdeeds are all correct.


Unlike in the days of Tai Solarin, Fela Onikulapo Kuti, Gani Fawhemi and even Prof Wole Soyinka.


They called the spade by its real name no matter whose ox was gored. That was why some of them were brutalized and imprisoned not because of stealing, killing or fraud but because they spoke the truth the government never wanted to hear.



Do we still have true social critics today?


Help name them because I feel they are not available anymore.
