He didn't weaken anything? Democrats are known for dialogue and covert operations while Republicans are known to be offensive when need arises. I see a Republican winning the next general election. Putin is already presiding over a weak economy, so its not all about throwing bombs indiscriminately. He has to understand that economy and war has direct relationship. He is just acting up to be reckoned with. Symphony007: |

chino11:actually, he has. Democrats are known for diplomacy but when u.s interest and prestige is challenged democrat presidents like bill Clinton, FDR, JFK, LBJ never retreated. The Cuban missile crisis which was the greatest face off in world history happened under democrats john kennedy. Obama has a deep seated philosophical objection to military action and he believes he was elected to end the wars in iraq and afganistan, not to start one in Syria for his successor to inherit. This has made America seem weak in the eyes of the world after years of bravado foreign policy. Now, history might judge obama right for preserving the u.s from another war after 10 years of wars and 18 trillion in debt. But the fact now is that their is a vacuum of power in the world, and the opportunist, putin. Is taking great advantage of it, weather it makes or mare him is get to be seen. |

chino11:You are absolutely wrong. The main reason Obama beat McCain in 2008 election was America rejection of the worthless wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Those two wars has a destablizing effects on Americans and bastardized the economy too. Towards the end of Bush term in office, America was hemorhaging about 700.000 jobs a month and the Dow Jones went down to 7.000 points. Americans turned against the war and that's why it will be difficult for a Republican to win the next Presidential election. It's a big debate going on now in both Republican and Democratic primaries on now. Americans are tired of wars according to all the polls. |

That is what am talking about. Democrats are mainly diplomatic unlike the Republicans that does not waste time talking too much. It is embedded in each parties books. It represent their ideologies. I see Republicans winning the next election because McCain has set the ball rolling by his statement. America needs to keep calling the shot around the world that is the point McCain was making. chino11:Americans rejected McCain and his ilks when it comes to Presidential elections. Americans have seen the horrors of war and overwhelming majority abhors war if America is not attacked. Two of my nephews served in Iraq and still have psychological effects on both that one of them relocated to canada. Remember thousands of young Americans died needlessly for a war that's about nothing. McCain is a senile old man that's doing the bidding of war profiteers like Halliburton, oil companies and what we call ( MIC) Military Industrial Complex. FYI, the next Presidential election is going to a Democrat if Republicans keep singing their jingoistic views. I am one American that loathes war. Middle East is a cursed area and Putin can have that place if he wants. I just want America out of that religious hell hole on earth. 2 Likes |

This McCain was one of the Idiots who criticized and forced the hands of Obama to intervene in Libya and Syria. Obama was extremely reluctant to overthrow another country'so government no matter how unacceptable. The GCC countries, Europe and large tribes in Syria almost turned the US into a stupid mercenarto country if they has sent troops. The winner in Syria is not Russia or Iran. It is Assad whom everybody thought was a pushover but alas No. He started winning when ISIS broke sideways to seize a large part of Iraq. 2 Likes |

omenka:you are wrong on Iran. Even the shiite fighters russian fighter jets provide cover for are mostly from Iran and are funded by the Iranian govt. These fighters go against FSA(american boys) and ISIL as well, so dont expect US to be in good term with Iran. Iran didn't get all they wanted in the deal, so they are even acting to spite the US. You know the greatest support Assad get comes from Iran; so the US wont find an ally in Iran anytime soon. |

Fleshly:those are very ambiguous citations you are giving and they do not represent any form of authority on the topic. The US and Russia were the only two Super powers after the world war so it is reasonable for the US to avoid the then communist Russia considering her capability but the post 1991 Russia was a weak Russia and was of little threat to a US that had already established military bases around her. 1 Like |

I saw a lot of security measures put in place like verification of email and phone numbers, valid ID. That makes a lot of sense. I normally go to Ibadan alone on weekends to see my mum. He should hold his peace. Russia is trying to clean their covert mess. Besides who invited their sloppy participation into the crisis? Russia was invited by the legitimate president of Syria going by their constitution. America should stop making it seem as if they are the people who love the Syrians more than anyone else. 1 Like |

Then the chinese enter with there numbers, robust economy to back up russia, at the end of 3 years madness , america is greatly reduced... Guess who is coming out of this situation a winner? |
