The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), has said that the nation’s tax laws did not exempt Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), from fulfilling their tax obligations.

Religious institutions should also pay tax,they use our roads,build on lands,pay salaries,own properties,so why shld they be exempted?

@ nedu2000 Nigeria is a religious sensitive country.

But I of the opinion that in the not so distant future they will be moves to get religious institutions to pay tax and publish audited financial statements as well.

The tides are changing.
