actually, it is not this animated.

this happened to me in 1993, we were coming back from boarding school in the luxury bus our lagos pta usually chattered for us.

we were at onitsha head bridge and so, with the hold up as well as then, it was the norm to hawk along the bridge.

i brought out my 50 naira to buy chinchin of 10 naira. (50 naira was a big money then o. to put in perpective, the 10 naira chin chin i bought lasted me the entire journey grin

)

i gave the little boy the 50 naira, he gave me the chin chin (how magnanimous of him) then like film trick, they guy just strolled with his headpan of chin chin towards one corner while looking at me with one eye.

me sef was looking at the horror movies unfolding before my eyes like say na dream. (onitsha boys, they start so young)

that was my only money o. the money i was saving since begining of term specifically for this purpose.
