In as much as I like the revolutionary idea behind Biafra and the redrawing of the neocolonial map of the zoo - this man looks more like the Chief of Palm Wine Tappers than a Chief of Army Staff.

You lot need to stop making this whole Biafra thing look like a terrible comedy show and get better folks involved.

I don't know if the OP is trying to be mischievous. The man pictured here is General Okonkwo, wearing his commemorative Biafran uniform and Rank and addressing fellow Biafran war veterans. My father, an ex Biafra Soldier, also has such a uniform. They usually meet a couple of times a year where they socialise and share war experiences. General Okonkwo or major Okonkwo as he was then known was one of the Biafran officers Banjo led as he made his way towards Lagos to capture Gowon. After Biafran forces overran the Midwest, Ojukwu declared the area "The Republic of the Mid-West" and Major Okonkwo was appointed as its Military Governor. Many people from what is now Edo and Delta States probably don't know it, but for a brief period, they were actually an independent nation. Now, they have been reduced to relying on Federal Government subventions

when ppl come online and talk about states in biafra, I actually laugh because they tend not to read about their history. these so called states were created by our fellow Nigerians. how can an Hausa man who doesn't know your history come and tell u that u are now to be called so so state. what does he know about u and your ppl? too bad most of us don't give a rat's ass about it.
