Below are a number of reasons that seem to underlie the Nigerian situation. Until we clearly crystallize what hails us there is no moving forward. Here goes:

    * 11. Lack of Proper Acceptance of our Current Situation
    * 10. An Inordinate View of "Culture" and "Tradition".
    * 9. Failed Leadership
    * 8. Collective Sins of the Past
    * 7. "Eating" the Young and "Killing" off Prophets
    * 6. Haphazard Economic Management and Systemic Corruption
    * 5. Incapable/Outdated System of Justice
    * 4. Lack of Representative, Citizen System of Governance
    * 3. Disease
    * 2. Inadequate National "Language" and System of Civil Discourse
    * 1. Near Absence of a Documentation, Knowledge Generation and Innovation System

The above reasons are initial thoughts. In subsequent posts I will attempt to explain them, but feel free to interpret and rank these reasons as you see fit. Perspectives as to their validity or otherwise as well as other reasons are welcomed.

1. Everyone competing against each other.
2. Leaders have lost focus.
3. The youths has given up on the nation.
4. Bad amenities (Road, Electricity, Water)
5. Banking system is messed up ( No way a bank can give loan at interest rate of 35%, and the young grad will be able to do something and yet cant get a job)
6. Nothing for nothing kinda approach is sickening, makes those with nice ass getting the jobs.
7. Policy on Foreign Currency, helping the black market to make money is sad
8. No one really cares anymore

10. People willingness to sell their future to some dumb politicians for a bowl of rice.

One day we will live in a country that believes that the best man or woman should lead regardless of ethnicity.

2- LAZINESS.

Stop depending on oil revenue allocation and do something else.

3- FUEDALISM.

The big men want to be the only ones shining.

4- KLEPTOMANIA.

There is no end to their 'theif theif'

5- BAD LEADERSHIP.
