LadyT: Which one of them - the musicians or the NBC? The musicians who sing anything in the name of music or the NBC who is trying to do their duty? I think I will simply add you as the part of the stupid set of people. |

Whatever they do they must not ban Durella's Whiskolo Whiska or i would be standing in front of their office with gasoline and lighters @Akpangbon You could make your point clear without necessarily abusing other users |

Wow! I'm surprised to see that there are many people on this forum that'll like to take Nigeria back to the dark ages (which is not too far from where we are now). Pls what are these boys doing wrong? Its entertainment!!! So what if they sing about money, sex, parties and so on? Not all songs should have a message and its not like these guys were having sex with girls in their video or showing naked bodies, again half naked does not equal naked because where does it stop? As per lyrics, I support banning, censoring or whatever if the contents are explicit but as long as they're not then the whole banning thing is just about a jobless govt dept that is trying to make itself seem relevant |

Majority of those songs are worth banning but the issue is tha it is too late which has made the whole process ludicrous |

[Banned Musicals The following Nigerian musicals have been banned by the Nigerian Broadcast Commission (NBC) for exhibiting vulgarity and indecency. Enter the place - 2face Idibia Dance for me - Duncan Mighty Suddenly - D’banj I wanna be close to you - D’banj Nwa Baby - Flavours Rigirigi - Flavours Maga Don Pay - Kelly Handsome Additionally, Africa Independent Television (AIT) has banned Bigiano’s Shayo from being played on its airwaves. All these songs and more deserve to be banned. I sometimes wonder what is wrong with our music makers. The display of indecency and vulgarity is nauseating, can't a music album sell in nigeria without having seminude or totally nude girls in display? what puzzles me is that the men are always well dressed. The censor board have a great task ahead of them. These so called superstars must be made to realize thta they are in Africa where decency and moral values are held in high esteem. |

iniguy: It's called freedom of speech/expression . . . P.S no one has come to put nude girls on display in any Nigerian music video so you have no point there. Moral Values?? You talk about moral values in one of the most corrupt countries in the world?? Is it not these politicians that pick up these girls in campuses?? |

funny someone is talking about moral values, this na naija . . . morals take a backseat to our other problems. besides, with porn DVDs littering the streets for just anybody to buy. . . lets just say its another case of misplaced priorities. |

The songs deserve to be banned especially those of Flavours and Kelly Handsome. There is no need to add vulgar lyrics for your song to sell. |
