The act of imparting or acquiring general knowledge, developing the powers of reasoning and judgment and generally of preparing oneself or
others intellectually for mature life, people sacrifice a lot to get it. Education, it is known to develop human personality, even it was declared free by Chief Awolowo who has the view that every Nigerian
must be offered the opportunity to achieve his or her full potential educationally.

The abysmal state of education in the state of origin
of the Great Chief Awolowo currently appears to suggest the need to re-articulate and re-define the purposes of education so that appropriate measures can be put in place. The decline in level of Education in state of Osun is alarming,the state that once boast of an impressive education record in year 2012 is now struggling to make impact educationally in year 2015, during year 2012 the state was ranked 8th in the overall
position of WAEC examination compares to 2011
where the state was ranked 18th, moving forward to year 2015 where 15-20% of the students
made 5 credits in WAEC examination this shows the
level of deterioration in Education system and this was caused by the Nonchalant behavior of the Number One citizen of the state, failure to
pay salary, incessant strike and a lot more are other
factors.

Even the Tertiary institutions in the state are not left
out, the have been closed down since June 11 2015 and our ever active Governor has done nothing to it, all he want is to merge the institutions together whether it is true or not ?

Kudos to the student leaders who organized series
of protest and witnessed series of attacks but all what the Government has done was to give false hope and now it seems No rain is falling on the desert of State of Osun students. The government has neglected them and focus on another issue but kindly help me wake the Governor from his slumber
and remind him the future of the state is in disarray
and if he truly love the state then urgent actions are needed to correct the wrongs and decay in state of Osun Education sector.
