Following the series of corruption scandal that has rocked the world football governing authority, where the top executives are currently under suspension for their involvement while they are being investigated, Nigerian Amos Adamu, is currently being investigated according to BBC Sports.

Amos Adamu is being investigated by the FIFA ethics committee, FIFA revealed on wednesday. Amos Adamu is alleged to have breached the FIFA’s code of ethics but no further information was revealed.

“I don’t know (about the investigation),” Adamu told BBC Sport. “I’m not even aware of it.”. He further went on to say that, he had not been contacted by the ethics committee about the case at all.

Until 2010, he was a member of the FIFA executive committee for four years before he was banned for all football related activity for three years. The ban came over claims that he had asked for money in exchange for world cup votes.

His suspension expired in October 2013.

Before the ban, he was the highest ranking government official for Nigerian sports for two decades and was also considered to succeed Issa Hayatou as the president of CAF
