Oh! my fellow youths of South south and South East, why the media attack on each other because of Biafra? Have you forgotten that this is exactly what the greedy parasites and traitors want? We don’t need to fight ourselves because, whether we like it or not one day we will surely be called BIAFRANS! Let me address the South South wing because I am a proud son of the South South. It is laughable that we the people of South South keep saying that we are not happy with the way the Hausa/ Fulanis are treating us, but still we are not Biafrans.

We want Niger Delta Republic? Hahahahahahaha please forgive my laughter, i laughed because there is no such thing like Niger Delta Republic, it has not been established anywhere or recognised by anybody. If at all anything like that would exist, it will emanate from the discussion between the South South And South East upon the realisation of Biafra and not from the present Nigeria. I said so because, we are equal with the South East virtually in every aspect, they will not marginalize us because they cannot marginalize us the way these parasites are doing, we match the South East in military power, economically and population. My people, it is completely baseless to think that the Igbos would marginalize us in a new country.

All we(SS and SE) need to do is to unite and synergize to wrestle our freedom from these parasitic demons. I am sounding like this because i am fully convinced that secession crises that will lead to war is inevitable in this country, though i would have wished for a peaceful and credible referendum. We the people of South South need to state clearly where we belong, and we don’t need to make the same mistake we made in the past. How can we and some parts of the South East will be sustaining the whole country, still they regard us as inconsequential and second class citizens? Let us be wise and identify with our Igbo brothers and sisters who mean no harm but love for us. It is too bad that we the South South people are ludicrously contemplative, we already know that these parasites hate us, and they are only saying “one Nigeria” because of our oil, but we are still skeptical and cynical about the harmless Igbos.

We better wake up before it’s too late. I just hope our fate would not be that of Hamlet in William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, that got all the convincing signs that Claudius his Uncle killed his Father, but he was still looking for more signs to believe beyond all reasonable doubt, and that indecision led to his death. (I chose to summarize the play in past tense and not progressive tense as required of a synopsis of a theatrical piece). In case you are not aware of the signs that they don’t mean well for us, let me help you with some. -The killing of Ken Saro Wiwa after he helped them to drive the Biafran soldiers out of Rivers state and it Environs. -The blocking of our agitation of resource control at the 2005 National Political Reform Conference. -The blocking of the agitation of increment of Derivation by our people in the just concluded National Conference. -The stiff opposition they gave the PIB that would have given 10% oil proceeds to host communities in our region. -The deliberate and malicious attacks on Jonathan and his aides from our region, while those from their region are being exempted from the attacks. If after doing all these things and many more to us, and some us still see the Igbos as our enemies instead of them, then i regret to say that there is something fundamentally wrong with our thinking faculty.

We call these parasites poor and illiterate, yet they are able to manipulate us to hate and fear Igbo people, then they crept in to subvert our will and control our resources. Just imagine, poor and uneducated masters to Rich and educated slaves? Gosh! So strange, i really need to do a thorough reaersch to know how to describe such slavery and to ascertain if such slavery has ever existed anywhere before. Let me end my piece with this unguarded statement by Ahmadu Bello. “The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great Grandfather Uthman Dan Fodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We use the minorities in the North as willing tools and the South as a conquered territory and never allow them to have control over their future”–Ahmadu Bello, 12th October, 1960

Let’s tell them the truth: we don’t want resource control, we don’t want PIB, we don’t want derivation, what we want is BIAFRA!

Inasmuch is I respect your biafra struggle, I ll also as a southerner beg you not to include us in your struggle, where was Ojukwu in the Isaac Boro days, don't forget, the struggle for Niger delta Republic started long before the biafra struggle. So when you say we, am sorry, speak for thyself oh man.

Something tells me that Biafra will come, and it will still carry almost all easterners. When the time comes, nobody in the east will want to stay in slavery Nigeria.

Thank you my brother. I expect more of us to come out and voice our opinion otherwise yorubas will continue to speak for us deceptively.

When they say SE will marginalize us...I laugh. Igbos have one of the most egalitarian societies in the world. Did they marginalize us under Eastern government? No. Has there been any account in history of Igbos invading their neighbors...Ibibio, Efik, Ijaw, e.t.c? No...not one account even though they had the capability to do so. Let's stop buying into the enemies divisive tactics that was used on our fathers...45 yrs later we are today suffering their folly. If we this generation apply the same folly, our children shall suffer immensely. Yes Igbos are our big brother and have tendency to over pet us which may make us seem wary of their intentions. They have no adverse intentions...they are protective of us just as any older silbling would be to his/her younger siblings. Same way they stood by GEJ from start to finish even to their detriment politically.

Republic of Biafra shall have a provincial government. Every province shall have equal representation in the House of Biafra. Representatives from the provinces will elect their prime minister. Any decisions the prime minister takes shall be approved by the equal representation of all provinces' representatives. So how is marginalization possible with this power formula?

I' ll end with Asari Dokubo words...Niger Delta can ever leave Nigeria without alliance with Igbos.

and who told u Asari dokubo cares about his people?
if you believe he does, why then did he traveled as far as Benin Republic to pinch his university? I'm a proud south south and never will I support a move orchestrated with greed and biasness. I believe in one Nigeria and NO to a fake Biafra full of selfish interest.

why didn't the east and south south cried and agitate for this same Biafra when formal president Goodluck Jonathan was in power?
pls provide answers, thanks

I don't support Asari Dokubo; think he is in it to make money for himself... that doesn't mean I shouldn't quote him if he says something reasonable. Personally, I would never have supported Biafra if not for Nnamdi Kanu. Nnamdi Kanu resonates with many in SS.

Now, with respect to the agitation not taking place under GEJ, have you asked yourself why it didn't take place under OBJ when Ekwueme was cheated or let's use a more acceptable phrase "when he lost"? Why didn't the agitation take place under " Yara'Adua"? So your argument is baseless ab initio.

Sash mechi onu GI. Biafra did not include Edo state because your ppl have proven repeatedly you're more like yoloba so why include una?We might as well include yoloba then if that's the case or stay in one niggeria then. Abeg. If you check the tribe included, it consists of tribes Igbo traded with and interacted with throughout history likewise tribes that have shown support or members of biafran group. For example: ogoni is not included in biafra because they themselves have shown interest to be on their own and biafra, unlike niggeria, respect ppl wish to self independence. Likewise Edo, iteskiri, urhobo/ isoko aren't included because we have nothing in common with una and on top of that historical wise, una are identical to yoloba.
Ijaw inclusion is still a mystery to me. Ibibio and co were included because they have members in ipob, massob, etc. Idoma and igala included are just the small community found in Enugu and Anambra state and like both nnamdi and so stated, if they don't want to be in biafra..no one will force them to stay, rather they will be escorted back to their ancestors land in middle belt but no part of Enugu or anambra is going with them.

So let it be known to you Edo was not included not because una no get oil. In fact, the only time ppl ever mention Edo does not have oil is whenever your ppl stay on NL chest beating Igbo wants our oil, Igbo wants our oil yet una aren't producing sh1t. Abeg.

It's not about oil, it's about "common value system". Cross River, Igala, Igbanke...from your Edo state, Idoma don't have oil yet they are part of Biafra.

Trillyonaire:
As a Rivers man who saw the events of 1967-1970 and who was old enough to understand them, this protest in Port Harcourt is a slap on true Rivers indigenes. and the memory of ALL the Rivers men and women who were slaughtered in the pogroms and ethnic cleansing committed during the civil war by the Biafran Army.

Let us remind ourselves of the TRUE facts and REAL reasons behind the secession and subsequent civil war. Ojukwu and his cohorts decided to secede from Nigeria because Gowon broke up the regions and created Rivers State among the 12 states he created. Remember the Aburi accord? Article 4 of that accord had to do with the breaking up of the regions. On the 27th of May, 1967, Gowon broke up the Regions, from the then Eastern Region and carved out Rivers, South-Eastern and East-Central states. 3 days later on 30th May, 1967 Ojukwu seceded citing the Aburi accord. ON ABURI WE STAND!! The rallying war cry of the day. How anyone who calls himself/herself a Rivers indigene support tacitly or otherwise the so-called Biafra cause when Biafra seceeded just because Rivers State was created and the Rivers people for once had a right to self rule?

In the quest for a sovereign country did the Igbo majority seek, discuss with or solicit the support of the minorities in the Oil Rivers and South-East?? Where is Biafra? How do you seek for a country which was susequently named Biafra WITHOUT involving the indigenous people of Biafra? Isn't that supreme arrogance or maybe they were not included because they were meant to be wiped out later. Events proved the latter to be true.

Late Chief (Dr.) Nabo Graham-Douglas who was the Attorney General of the Eastern Region was sent on compulsory leave and exiled to his home town Abonnema with orders for him to be executed. Fortunately the plans leaked and he miraculously escaped. He didn't draw the Articles of secession and only heard about Biafra from the BBC journalists who came to interview him in Abonnema.
He was one of the lucky ones.

The ethnic cleansing began in earnest. Our intelligentsia; top civil servants, technocrats and other able bodied men and women were rounded up and summarily executed in Enugu, Owerri, Aba, Umuahia, Degema, Buguma, Bakana, to mention but a few towns/cities. In Port Harcourt, Rainbow town and Igritta, became killing fields. the bones of those victims still lie there
These atrocities were committed by the Biafran Army, against people who were supposed to be fighting the same cause with them.
In a bid to wipe out the minority tribes, our towns and villages were evacuated, our men put to slave labour and later on shot (reminiscent of Nazi Germany), our women taken as sex slaves, young boys shared the same fate as the men. Bakana, Bille, Abonnema were all forcefully evacuated.

Finally, when the Nigerian Army counter attacked and liberated Port Harcourt, the retreating Biafran Army, burnt Kingsway (now Supabod building), Nabo Graham-Douglas's law library (which was the best Law library in the whole of West Africa) and other land marks in the Garden city. Of what military significance were these acts??

I don't blame the misguided ill-informed people for trampling on the graves of those who were murdered by the Biafran Army, by protesting in Port Harcourt. I blame Gowon for forbidding accounts of the war being published after the war, but more importantly for not trying war criminals (like Col Ojeh of Degema) within the Biafran Army and holding them accountable for their inhuman and murderous actions during the war. 70 years after World War 2, we are still reminded on a daily basis the atrocities that the Nazi's committed. If Gowon had done what he was morally and duty bound to do, this matter of Biafra would have been put to rest once and for all.

By the way, in May 1968, my uncle (my mother's younger brother) was shot in his Warri street residence in Port Harcourt, his corpse butchered, his flesh sold as Biafra meat in Mile 1 market. That same day the Nigerian Army opened up and started shelling Port Harcourt, which was ultimately liberated

Are those protesting and the other supporters of "Biafra" aware of these facts??

The war has been over these past 45 years, we are forging on as a country, setting aside our ethnocentric issues. That Ex-Biafrans have been assimilated into all spheres of our society (as they should), without any punishment meted out to the war criminals among them, doesn't give anyone the right to re-write history or bring these painful memories back.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!
