I learnt yesterday that in Osun State, Ogbeni Aregbesola, has slashed salaries of workers. The least has 27% slashed from his or her basic salary while the highest is 35%. This was PROBABLY informed by need to get the state out of its financial quagmire and pay workers their outstanding salaries. To me, I do not know if this was a right move or not. You do not solve one problem by creating another one. I see workers protesting this and that was the last thing the state needs now.
Meanwhile, Ogbeni has also reportedly banned morning assemblies in all public schools in the state. What informed this, I don't know. But it seems the man is obviously overwhelmed by issues he is dealing with. Or do we say he is confused? In the final analysis, Jonathan and PDP will be blamed for the latest 'wahala' in the state of the living spring! Naija!

Sanusi they clamour for naira devaluation while the government still dey slash salary, abeg if Dollar rises to 300 naira, how will an average Osun state worker pay for a product worth $500.
If an average Osun workers saves 30k a month with the slash, he will have to save for 5months to buy just a common Samsung phone worth $500.
