The SE has 5 states while SW has 6 states including Lagos. 5 of the SW states are the typical Yoruba states while Lagos is a former federal capital city.
Take a moment and recalculate the cumulative IGR of the 5 typical Yoruba states and compare it to the cumulative IGR of the 5 SE states. Guy, despite all the noise, Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ondo and Ekiti altogether produced a measly 57 billion naira in 2014. Wherein lies all your boasts?
Don't mind them untill Igbos pull out of Nigeria Lagos will still remain no mans land, I hope they are ready to drag Lagos with hausa/Fulani when they time comes

But the people you call leeches contribute more than half of Lagos IGR.

Instead of you to ask why the north is the main consumer, you focus your attention to dividing the south which feeds the north. What shall be the result of actions of people like you? Result is that as south wars against itself, north gains more inroads to divide the south and eat more and more of what south produces, and tell southerners what Nigeria MUST be like.

Repent.

Adding lagos is like adding Abuja to North central. Nigeria made lagos and not the other way round.

More Excuses.
Children born the last time Lagos was a capital are already nearing their freaking Silver Jubilee celebration, and you are still there talking.
If the Lagos state government hadn't picked up the mantle of development after years of federal neglect, do you think their IGR will be anywhere that high?

Ogun - 17,497,620,787.52
Oyo - 16,307,233,700.22

Lagos contributed more than 83% of the revenue in this figure, the remain 5 states contributed mere 17% this goes a long to prove that the result of lagos has external inputs and looks far higher than the average in the region.
I will break down the revenue profile of lagos soon

Will be waiting for you to come post your lies on how yeebhoes are 90% in Lagos, and how they own all the mansion in Lagos. We are used to your lies, you people have no shame. I can see you are now trying to claim PH, greed will surely kill you red mud wanderers soon.

How come Lagos produces more than 1500% of what the state with the next highest IGR produces, if it's all about the SW? How come Oyo which hosts the headquarters of Yorubaland can't even boast of 20billion naira?

Series of Yoruba governors created the climate for Lagos to thrive as it has done, by connecting with the right international investors.

Stop assuming igbos 2x2 petty trading shops had large impact.

Anambra with inosson should be competing with Lagos.

Many non-lagosian Yorubas, in tech, fashion and businesses, also invested in Lagos.

You are just speaking thrash! Have you been to Ogun State before you concluded that no tangible things on ground? Do you think Amosun's flooring of Osoba,OGD and PDP cohort was a fluke? Please be inform before you type any balder dash! Did you hear the governor of recent saying the 20years bail out repayment will be done in his state in 10 years? Please wake!

You are fighting yourself. What you now do amounts to giving the north more room to dominate entire Nigeria, eat and tell the southerners shaaaataaataaaaap!!!!!

Only a fool would argue that Lagos state high IGR was mainly contributed by indigent south west people.

Imagine Aregbesola governor Osun from Lagos. Ridiculous.

But something else bothers me: With an average of 23b a month, and the federal allocation one wonders why lagos isnt better than it is.
