We've seen how GEJ, despite his resolve to anihilate the evil boko haram was accused by the likes of Nyako, Northern elders and other fundamentalist of genocide against the North. At some point they reported Ihejirika (the general who was giving deadly blows to boko haram) to ICJ on grounds of genocide and wanton killing of innocent northerners. Buhari even joined the frenzy in support of boko haram while he retorted that ''An attack on boko haram is an attack on the north.'' These people used terrorism to play politics, in the process frustrated the effort to fight boko haram. The rumors spread all over the north has it that GEJ was collaborating with a particular ethnic group to reduce northern population. This and many more catalitized northern people to reject GEJ by any means necessary including violence at the polls. The hatred against him was deeply rooted to the point a mere mention of his name could spark riot. The northern people believed the propaganda dished out by their elites hook line and sinker. They totally believed that GEJ was on a mission to destroy the north. As can be seen, the anger was so great, even GEJ's campaign train was not spared. His busses and other properties were burned down. A clear message that he (GEJ) was totally rejected and unwelcomed to the north. Imagine with these hatred, anger and vile against GEJ, seen by northern fundamentalist as an infidel, decides to go a step further to add killer fulani herdsmen together with the boko problem ravaging the country, unimaginable number of christian lives would have been lost in retaliation by the northerners. Northern elders and their cronies would have declared JIHAD all over Nigeria. To the north, an infidel killing muslims is haram. Well, in the end, GEJ lost to Buhari in the presidential polls.
But there's more to GEJ's defeat than meets the eye. GEJ never lost because he was a failure. Nor did he lost because he was uncapable of leading the country. GEJ's loss was a divine providence. His loss was a message that his leadership task was over. The baton of leadership is now handed to buhari.
Buhari's election is also a devine providence. A call to be tested. Buhari's presidency will be tested to see how he will solve the boko-fulani herdsmen issues ravaging the country. He will be tested to see how far he will go to deal with these killer herdsmen wrecking havoc all over Nigeria. Buhari will be tested to see what force he might use against some of his own misguided people. At least anything he does to deal rudelessly with killer fulani herdsmen will not raise much eyebrows in the north, he's a Muslim Fulani man from the north, comapared to what will happended if it were GEJ (a Christian from the south).
The prophecy: Buhari has a very big task ahead of him. The task to ensure peace and security all over the country. If Buhari being a fulani man however fails to arrest the wanton killing of innocent men, women and children on their own land by these killier fulani herdsmen, Nigeria will disintegrate!
Nigeria's disintegration at this point, will not be brought about by any secessionist group. Nigeria's disintegration will be brought about effortlessly the the killer fulani herdsmen themselves.
