The senate has screened ministerial nominee, Eyinna Enelemah from Abia state. He is a medical doctor by training. During his introduction, he vowed to work tirelessly with President Buhari for a new and better Nigeria. He said for Nigeria to grow economically, efforts must be made to generate resources outside the oil sector. Enelamah said efforts should be made for Nigerians to pay their tax. He said infrastructures and better legislation will help for it to work. He also called for a more inclusive growth.

On youth unemployment, he said efforts must be made to create on-the-job training for graduates. He also advocated for skill acquisition among youths.

The ministerial nominee advocated for a technology driven Nigeria. He said government needs to work more to attract foreign investment. He advocated for every state to concentrate on its comparative advantage. 

He said the government needs to create policies that will promote shared returns. 
 
Enelamah promised never to begin a political fight with his state governor when he is confirmed minister. 

On how to get the stock exchange market vibrant again, he said transparency will help in this regards. 

On the epileptic power sector, he said a collaborative effort from both the public and private sector will help to correct this. 


He said an enabling environment includes a clear vision for Nigeria, consistency in government policies, friendliness to investors, provision of key infrastructure and non interference of government in business matters. 

Enemalah said interest rates are high because of the state of the Nigerian currency. He said priorities need to be placed to reduce interest rates which will help increase job opportunities.

He was asked to take a bow and go.
