Where Is Nigeria Heading To ? by banom(m): 3:59pm On May 09, 2009
Every thing in Nigeria seems to be going in circles,  all we do is sit down and complaine , no practical solution is giving to many problems aroud us, we seem so confused and consumed with our many problems,
we can't even tell  if we hope to still exist as one entity in the next ten years,  we are not even making any effort to help issues, all we do everyday is just ,wake up,eat, drink, talk, play, sex, club, pray and sleep, we seem so relaxed and coping with our situations, no single sign of positive changes is taking place, no genuine plan of action to bring us back on track , atimes we are even too proud of our selves and our failed nation, we refused to see our selves the way others sees us ,we are just lust,

What is realy the problem of this country ,where are we heading to ?

We are experiencing the prelude to the birth of a nation. The happening in Nigeria fits in with the characteristics of a developing nation. However, it should be noted that these preludes can either make or break the yet unborn nation.

It is hard to tell. However, if our 40years plus of indpendence is used as a yard stick, then all hope may seem lost. On the other hand, some will argue the development in the last Ten years is an indication that we will "make it".

Mobile phone boom.
Democracy [Still in its infancy]
Boom in certain industries - Nollywood, et al
Nigeria as a state that is more prominent and influential in African affairs.
Housing and socio economic rapid developments.

Those covers the various classes I can recall from the top of my head right now. smiley I am sure those who know better will come in and add some shortly. Or, those who disagree will have a different view. smiley
