Interestingly, it actually appears that Man United may be employing a 4-4-2 formation this afternoon as Martial has clearly been deployed as a centre-forward alongside Rooney, with Mata attached to the right touchline. It didn't start off this way, but with the possession they have they have switched it slightly. I do not know why Van Gaal refused to play Rooney in a deeper role and allow Martial play upfront alone. I think Martial will benefit from the freedom to attack. |

Van Gaal's outfit have had three-quarters of possession in the game so far but Boaz Myhill is yet to be truly tested in between the sticks for West Brom. Best chance of the match came to Mata, who unluckily strike off target wide of the left-hand post. |

This scoreline is all too familiar for this Manchester United crowd as they are usher their team forward with cheers of 'ATTACK, ATTACK' which has been the chorus of the day in the last few matches at Old Trafford. Half time at Old Trafford. Unfortunately for The Red Devils it has been a predictably dull first half as they once again fail to turn their possession dominance into goalscoring chances. as Boaz Myhill in between the sticks for West Brom has only been tested once. Tony Pulis' men have defended very well so far, and deservedly keep a clean sheet at the break as we go in at 0-0. Second half to come; hopefully some goals too! From Goal. |

Martial has been poor today and is standing around a lot Not sure if that's is because Rooney is not staying in one place. He is a 10 today of 9? One thing obvious is something is not right with Rooney. No way rooney passes that to mata and no way does Rooney stop and take that shot which went off the defender. He seems to stop |
