Position
A large retail pharmaceutical company in Lagos is currently seeking a talented
operating executive for the position Chief Operating Officer. The COO will
primarily be responsible for ensuring that the company's systems and operational
infrastructure can support outstanding execution of current programs as well as,
ensuring the company's leading position among its competitors. The COO will
report directly to the Managing director.

Responsibilities
• Manage the day to day operations of the company
• Manage monthly performance reviews of key metrics across functions, to be
presented and evaluated by each department monthly, including client
satisfaction metrics.
• Management Reporting/analysis, including business intelligence
• Plan, develop and implement a strategy for operational management and
development so as to meet agreed organizational performance plans within agreed
budgets (covering relevant areas of operation such as procurement, distribution,
administration, stock-taking, sales etc
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Monitor, measure and report on operational issues, opportunities and
development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales to the
managing director
• Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets
• Liaise with other departmental managers so as to understand all necessary
aspects and needs of operational development, and to ensure they are fully
informed of operational objectives, purposes and achievements
• Manage the growth of the Retail chain

Qualifications
• B. Pharm degree in Pharmacy is essential but not compulsory. MBA from a
reputable university will be an added advantage.
• A minimum experience of 4years plus managing operations in a retail chain
• Must have the ability to balance the need for operational efficiency and
innovation as well as represent the company from an operational perspective.
• Must have adequate understanding of retail business
• Must possess financial and analytical skills
• Must have excellent communication and management skills.
