Disability! I have mine and you have yours.
What I do with my “Disability” might not be what you’ll do with your “Disability”.
Some take their “Disability” & make it cancerous over their facility
Others take their “Disability” & magnify it, choke & kill their fertility
Some are so disabled by their “Disability” they lose their motility
But what should we do with our “Disability”?
Let's do a dissection, let's carry out an operation! How?
Give me my “Disability” let me separate “Dis” from “Ability” (Dis-ability)!
I'm not done, see, “Ability” is dead if it has no confirmation
It is dead if it is not recognised and acted upon!
Now let me add “this” to “Ability”.
Together I confess “This-Ability”!
“This-Ability” is my pride, “This-Ability” is who I am!
“This-Ability” gives me faith as a black man to succeed in a dominated world!
“This-Ability” is not just a phrase, it’s not just a confession!
“This-Ability” will carry me through, and my voice unto the next generation!
