10 Nigerian Songs With Weird Titles Yet Nigerians Still Love Them by stephenduru: 10:08am On Nov 11, 2015
D’banj, Wizkid,Son Jazzy and many others are culprits when it comes to songs with weird titles.Despite many Nigerian songs having weird titles, people still love them.

Below are 10 Nigerian songs with weird titles yet Nigerians love them.

1. Shakitibobo: Apart from the line he mentioned buying a Bentley and Ferrari, which actually got a brother drooling, Olamide’s Shakitibobo is another scam that should be investigated. Young John the Wicked Producer simply mesmerized us with that killler tune, which we are yet to recover from.

2. Shoki: Whatever Lil Kesh meant with this song is only understood by him or maybe his label boss, Olamide and Davido can help us out since they were featured on the remix.

3. Eminado: We still await Don Jazzy and new mom, Tiwa Savage to actually come up with the real meaning of their 2013 hit song, Eminado. While the Mavin boss mischievously claims it means a ‘goodluck charm’, Tiwa like her fans is completely lost as to the meaning of the title. However, we all grooved to the song still.

4. Limpopo: Last time I checked, this was a province up north in SA but its apparent Geography had nothing to do with the title of Kcee’s biggest hit of his career. Well for those who are ready to play maga tonight… this is your song.

5. Dorobucci: What is Doro? That was the biggest question on the lips of Nigerian music lovers as they enjoyed Mavin Records’s infectious single, Dorobucci.  Catchy vibes with sing along verses, Dorobucci was perhaps the most popular song on the streets in 2014. Who cares about the title though!

6. Tongolo: This savvy and energetic dude came at us looking so much like the star he eventually grew into. He had a weapon which was operated with his mouth and he promised to tell us what the koko was. 10 years later, we are still waiting. Will D’banj ever tell us the ‘Koko’ or maybe he can finally tell us what ‘Tongolo’ ever meant.

7. Efrebor: If Efrebor has nothing to do with getting injured (wound) as severally shouted on the song. DJ Stramborella should simply be charged to court. But then where can we find him?

8.Janta Manta: Like they did on Dorobucci, the Mavin crew recently returned with another song with an odd title. Whatever Janta Manta means though. NB: India has 4 monumental structures named Jantar Mantar.

9. Malonogege: Whatever Timaya and Terry G meant with this title remains a mystery but then it remains a jam anyway and did you see that G Wagon painted into a taxi?

10. Lamba: Lamba this, Lamba that…this dude is simply a scam. He came with the first offering which we all grooved to but he failed to tell us what Lamba meant. He returned again with Star Boy, Wizkid and not even their combination was enough for us to finally grasp what Lamba means. And just before we could hold him liable for these offences he metamorphosed into Kym O exempting himself of all liabilities of Hakym The Dream.
