Sunnah of Friday

As Friday is a special day, so it demands special preparations and special acts. Here are some essential Sunnah of friday:

-To have a bath (Ghusl)
-To use Miswaak (cleaning teeth)
-Clipping the nails, removing of the hair etc
-To use Attar or nonalcoholic Perfume
-To wear nice and clean clothes.
-Offer jumma prayer / salat ul jumma / namaz e jumma
-To proceed early as possible to the Masjid for Jummah prayer.
=To wear nice and clean clothes.
-To sit close to imam , as close as possible.
If the Saffs (rows) are already filled, one should not jump over the shoulders of the musallies in order to get to the front
 -listen very attentively to the khutba of jumma even if one does not understand. One should not speak or even warn another to keep quite while the khutba is in progress.
 -Recite surah-e-kahaf , when ever you get time in whole day, recitation of surah kahaf is recommended on jumma.
 

Rasulallah (Peace be upon him ) said: “There is such an hour on Friday that if any Muslim makes dua in it, his
dua will definitely be accepted.” (Bukhari, Muslim)


Sunnat way of cutting Nails: On Friday Start from Right hand. 1=Fore finger (Shahdat wali) 2=Middle 3=Ring 4 = Small Then left hand 5 = Small 6=Ring 7=Middle 8= Fore finger 9=left Thumb 10= Right Thumb.


Friday is twelve hours in which there is no Muslim who asks Allaah for something but He will give it to him, so seek the last hour after ‘Asr.” [Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani].

Allah Says,
يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِذَا نُودِىَ لِلصَّلَوٰةِ مِن يَوۡمِ ٱلۡجُمُعَةِ فَٱسۡعَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَذَرُواْ ٱلۡبَيۡعَ‌ۚ ذَٲلِكُمۡ خَيۡرٌ۬ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ
“O you who believe (Muslims)! When the call is proclaimed for the Salaah (prayer) on Friday (Jumu‘ah prayer), come to the remembrance of Allaah [Jumu‘ah religious talk (Khutbah) and Salaah (prayer)] and leave off business (and every other thing). That is better for you if you did but know!”[Surah al-Jumu’ah 62:9]

On Fridays, angels will be sent to the doors of the Masjid to write down the names of the people who enter the Masjid. When the Imam goes to the pulpit, they close their books, put down their pens, and start asking each other: ‘what has kept so and so from coming to Juma’ah?’ They then pray: ‘Oh Allah, if so and so is misguided, please guide him, and if he is sick, please cure him, and if he is needy, please enrich him ’” This should encourage us to go early to the Masjid on Friday for salat. All of us go early to the marketplace to trade. Why then do we not do the same with Friday prayers, which benefit our salvation and help us to attain paradise?
