The question Nigerians should be asking is this: why is it that everyone that passed through the power ministry during the period that $16 Billion was squandered in the Power and Steel Ministry was made a governor by President Olusegun Obasanjo? Agagu for Ondo, Imoke for Cross River and Goje for Gombe State.
Was OBJ buying immunity for himself?
Who has been given a blank cheque to kill the Elumelu Report?
To what extent is Bankole implicated in the REA N6billion scam?

While it might be true that Elumelu soiled his hands in the REA project and therefore deserves to face the law, the timing of his arrest and trial is worrisome. I am not saying anyone that runs foul of the law should not be made to face the consequencies of his action at any time. It however, appears intriguing that soon after Elumelu was arrested the Committee set up by the House of Representatives to take a second look at the report of Elumelu's Power Committee submitted its report declaring that no government money was lost. The coincidence is really worrisome and to say that no money was lost shows that Nigerians are being taken for a ride again.

An adage says "all days is for the thief, but one day is for the owner". I rest my case, a word is enough for the wise.
