If fornication is such a sin that the bible says FLEE! Is it masturbation that it'll condone. Jesus said in Matt 5:28 "But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart"

This is a gospel of convenience. Which is more reason why its hard to differentiate a believer from an unbeliever nowadays.
Should we continue in sin so that grace may abound?
The knowledge that the Lord Jesus paid the price doesnt give us the freedom to revel in sin.

You forgot the next verses .

Romans 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin..

You just BELIEVE it or work for your own righteousness.

See what Paul said Philippians 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: by faith not by works.

Sin consciousness is what your post is all about

Hebrews 10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

Sin consciousness results to remember unto sin. I wonder why believer searches himself daily to see if He has wrong any body. That's being sin conscious.

Hebrews 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. 10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: 10:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

Everyday I see baby born again christains ask for forgiveness I have never sin in the entire new Testament where any of the disciples or apostles pray for forgiveness of sin. But see what Paul said

1 Timothy 1:14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Abstaining from those things by your carnal nature is not possible. Some of us baby christain believers still preach that people should forsake their sins then follow Jesus. Its wrong. If I can forsake my sins then, I don't need Jesus. Remember He came for the unrighteous which include every man created because no man is righteous. Abraham's righteousness was counted unto him because he believed God not base on works.

Romans 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4:4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 4:6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

To conclude this my dear brother. BY NATURE... we are SINNERS, BUT BY FAITH we are RIGHTEOUS (SAINTS)

I just skimmed through and was about to close it when i saw your thread start with SIN SIN CONSCIOUSNESS... Have we wondered this
If we are sick ... we confess "By His(Christ Jesus) strips i was healed",
If we are poor... we confess "He (Christ Jesus) became poor that i might be rich",

BUT

WHEN we sin... we confess our sin... and we continue to battle on, no change against sin....Could it be we should be confessing " He (Christ Jesus) became sin THAT We might become His Righteousness?

Hmm... me i don choose oh....If Grace cannot uphold you... no LAW or SIN CONSCIOUSNESS can do to help...SHALOM!

This is very wrong, though didnt read all u posted, read the beginning n jumped to d conclusion u made. We were all having d nature of sin bt when we gave our lives to Christ we received a new nature with sufficient grace to grow to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. We as xtians now can live above any elemental forces, sin inclusive as we live overcoming lives in Christ Jesus.

NB If u aint overcoming in Christ even above sin then something is wrong.

Ops dat no. 1 its depend to some large extent. Pride is a feeling of the pleasure of accomplishment with humility. Pride gives a swollen heart. So pride may not necessary be a sin.

Must you be told that Masturbation is a sin, don't you have consience? Let me ask you, is it written that man should not smoke in the bible? is it written that we should not use biro to change figures? You should know if what you're doing is a sin or not. It is not until it is shown unto you in the bible. Father Abraham and many others lived before bible came, yet they know the things that are sin. The holyspirit should convict you of it. The bible says in new testament that i will inscribe my law in their heart. Can you declare/say that you masturbate in the public? Many of the things we do in secret but cannot do outside are sin. Do you agree?
May God Deliver anyone in this kind of bondage. Amen!

SHALOM!!!!!!! [/quote Bro, stop miss interpreting the word word of God to justify your sinful desire. Dont you read Romans 8:1 there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus to them who work not after the flesh but after the spirit. Do you knew Satan also believe in Jesus as everyone proof but he never repented of his sinful ways Accepting Jesus Christ alone never guarantee eternal life unless you practise holiness life. Dont you read the word of Jesus himself, Matthew 5:48 be ye holy as he that called you is holy. Unless you live self examines life how will you practice holiness. Heresies and miss interpreting the word of God is the problems of nowadays believers. Jesus came to grant us grace to identify sin and do away with it, if you said you are saved and still practices what Christ came to destroy which mean the coming of Christ is meaningless. 1Peter 1:15 be ye holy as your heavenly Father is holy.

You guys hv not yet answered my question....

I know of some guys working in remote areas.....men in eket...warri etc ...men that their wives are far from them...people that thief wives live abroad...they skype with their wives....and mastubate to her erotic displays and dirty talking....pray tell..is that a sin too??

People like you all make Christianity fearful....i repeat...never in the Holy book have self service been identified as a sin...mastubation is not a sin...infact that's what reverend fathers use to relieve themselves.....its safe...you lot should stop deceiving people and making laws all by yourself.

I go with the holy book....until I see it read about mastubation in the Holy books...it is NT a sin.

What exactly are you saying? That once you are saved you are forever saved, irrespective of what you do? There is a big danger when you quote a verse or two in isolation without a balanced view of other scriptures. In the same Hebrews chapter 10 you are quoting

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Hebrews 10:26-27 KJV
http://bible.com/1/heb.10.26-27.KJV

No one who is born of God will continue to
sin, because God's seed remains in them;
they cannot go on sinning, because they
have been born of God. I John 3:9

Christians don't deliberately or habitually sin. If you do, you crucify Christ all over again Hebrews 6:4-6. Sure we don't live above sin by our own strength. It comes by God's empowerment, what we often call grace. When we become Christians God's seed is planted in us. It has the potential to grow, take root and bear fruits of righteousness if we nurture it. Unfortunately many Christians never give God's grace the chance. Flames of doubts fanned by teachers of false doctrines have snuffed out many men of God in embryo.

Hello Brother.

I don't know if you are a mastubater or mastubator or whatever you may call it.

I'll try as much as possible not to sound like a father or a preacher to you coz am not worthy of them both.

But as a friend and a brother, let's rub minds; when you MASTUBATE;

What do you think of/about before engaging yourself in the act?

While mastubating, what keeps runing in your head?

Why is it just so difficult to let go even when you know it is detrimental not to you alone but also your relationships with others?

This should serve as an intro/idea to the answers to your question.

Mark 7:22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
2 Corinthians 12:21 And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and <lasciviousness> which they have committed.

Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, <lasciviousness,>

Ephesians 4:19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto <lasciviousness>, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

1 Peter 4:3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in <lasciviousness>, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into <lasciviousness>, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Making heaven is not by your effort but by the grace of God which is a FREE gift. Your own work is to believe in his word. You are saved through faith and it's not something we should be proud of. (Ephesians 2:8-9). The moment you give your life to Christ, sin has no control over you anymore.

This is the secret killer of christians in churches. Upto 95% of people in churches do it.

Masturbation is a mystery that is greatly linked to Emmanuelle (The great prostitute that sits upon Babylon). She bites like a serpent and her venom is sexual seduction. She destroys many men who have slept with her through masturbation wit her venom which greatly multiplies the spirit of Lust in your heart.

You need the grace and mercies of God to overcome her. You need to come to God in the right way to fight her. Meditate on the word of God, listen to Godly music and take part in church activities. She fights men through their mind. So your mind as a christian must be occupied with the words of the Lord. Avoid watching pornography or sexual explicit materials. Pray for God's grace and mercy to give u strength to overcome her.

It is not easy but with God all things are possible. You can't overcome her wit ur strength but only with strength of God which comes by grace through faith. And Faith comes by hearing the word of God in your heart and not wit your ears.

Envy – painful or resentful awareness of an advantage enjoyed by another joined with a desire to possess the same advantage: “Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation” (1 Peter 2:1-2).

Lust – to have an intense desire or need: “But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart” (Matthew 5:28).

Godseed:

What exactly are you saying? That once you are saved you are forever saved, irrespective of what you do? There is a big danger when you quote a verse or two in isolation without a balanced view of other scriptures. In the same Hebrews chapter 10 you are quoting

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Hebrews 10:26-27 KJV
http://bible.com/1/heb.10.26-27.KJV

No one who is born of God will continue to
sin, because God's seed remains in them;
they cannot go on sinning, because they
have been born of God.

Flames of doubts fanned by teachers of false doctrines have snuffed out many men of God in embryo.
who is without sin?

help me ask him oooooooooooo. If som1 doesn't like it doesn't mean its a sin

God has giving us the Holy spirit to discern bad from Good. Kidnapping, weed smoking, forging documents etc is not in d Bible. How do u know is sin?. You see masturbation is an act with unseen demons. That is why after the act you are like "Gosh why did i do diz" n u dont like it, bc its not normal. There are demons in charge of it. God creates sex for married couples. Ask God to open your eyes to sins you are not even aware of dat may lead you to destruction. You can abuse me, I won't be surprised. Buh its the truth.

point of correction,as a born again christian you are not a sinner,a christian that sin is not a sinner, the nature of sin has been supplanted with the nature of God,a christian that sin is only a transient transgressor which will be corrected if he repent
