first of all, what is permissive will?

permissive will is the act of wanting and asking things be done in your own way rather than letting GOD have it HIS way with less care about the consequences that might result.

now back to our discussion: the people of isreal of old wants to copy and be like other nations who has kings as their head instead of GOD as the supreme leader. they want the gov't and policy of the world as did the other nations....now as an elderly stateman prophet samuel advice them against this which could anger GOD but no! they wouldn't listen they want it their own way,they want to please themselves they want to copy,they prefer the worldly attires,worldly doctrines,worldly constitutions as did other nations, they are indirectly saying they are tired of the Unseen Supernatural LEADER(JEHOVER GOD) instead they want a physical being,a human with limitations, a mere human...

now as they wont think deep but instead continue to agitate and seek THEIR OWN WILL ..samuel had to concur and give them what they want....a king! king Saul

now listen, saul was innocent and amiable young man with a cheerful heart ...he had no intention of disobeying GOD

now saul was made king a position which no one of his family has ever held but was given him..what a previlage! you'll say, but since it wasnt GODs original will something happened, things began to happen and errors began to unfold..here are they:

1.he disobeyed GODs commandment to slay the amalikites the once destroyer and enemies of isreal...simple and easy task to carry out but he did it his own way but GOD was displeased he had to be punished for that single act....the kingdom which was given him was taken away from he lost the kingdom to a more better person than him

2..now as said earlier things began to unfold saul gradually began to lose things again to the point he lost his peace and rest of mind (something he had in abundance before becoming king) now he who is king began to seek for help from a poor shepherd boy who had to play strings to him to make him better..the one who later became his nightmare and unseat him as king

3.saul now a scape goat of his peoples errors....there was was but there was no samuel as usual to say GOD said u should do this or do that to win...he had to steep so low to go to one witch at "endor" to seek for help on the situation report...but alas he died the next day in the battle,he committed succide and also lost his sons and his whole family(excluding the creepled mephiboseth) in the heat of the battle and his nation also suffer defeat and lost properties, land and lifes..what a shameful collateral dammage

the name saul today is regarded a sad n bad name no one wish to bear....

all these was due to just one stubborn permissive will

permissive will is dangerous, why not just seek GODs face and let HIM have HIS way HE alone knows best..it may not always be what u want or wish or think it is..why not just let GOD who alone knows all things decide for you
