In as much as i dont support Nnamdi kanus idea, however i am convinced the only thing holding Nigeria together is oil. The reason why the demands of boko-Ha have not been met is because the North needs something from Nigeria. Ita funny that the only true believers of 1 Nigeria are the Igbos. A northerner will never buy property or build outside the north. But they will stretch the straw to the depest parts of other regions to suck oil. Does this show they believe in one Nigeria? Any small thing the youths threaten to destroy properties belonging to igbos in their region. Why? because they dont believe in one Nigeria or invest outside theirs. The yorubas might as a matter of convinience buy property outside to make profit. In education the north wants prrferntial treatment, but want to be at the top in power. Wait till oil is discovered in the North before you see what secession is all about. I am not asking igbos to fight for biafra, however i ask for strategic positioning. We dont need to be declared a country to operate as one. The south east governors should not compete with each other,but rather complement. In the area of investment, it should be strategic. If Enugu is running an international airport, anambra could work on sea port etc. Not every state wanting to have international airport, at the end of the day, there wont be enough passengers in each of the airports and the airline operators will loose interest. |
