Historically we Yorubas have always been ahead of the curve. I'm not just talking modern times either. We've always been wa progressive group way before Oyinbos came unlike a certain other tribe that didn't find their identity until Whites came . However I don't like the boastful nature of this post. It's not the Yoruba way. lets be humble about our achievements. Leave the loud boastful stuff for the Igbos/Biafrans. 5 Likes 1 Share |

SPOPOVICH: but why are Igbos so goodlooking, yet yorubas be so ugly? pls explain this. Good looking yeeboes like Mr Ibu. Igbos like to console themselves. Forbes list of the richest Nigerians, how many Yorubas and how many yeeboes on the list? Obat Oil owned by Obateru Akinruntan has the largest oil depot in Africa. What of Otedola, Jimoh Ibrahim and Honeywell owned by Oba Otudeko? Useless mofos will be shouting they drive the economy with their 60inches by 70inches shops. Yeeboes have traders, Yorubas have industrialists. When education and civilisation landed in the Southwest, Yeeboes were still using leaves to cover their bodies. 3 Likes |

When people superlatives like "best", "most successful" it signifies inferiority complex. The best don't go about bragging about it. Someone already told you to change the topic but you refused because of your myopic tribal sentiments. It is a pity but this has been the problem of the whole world when it comes to tribal, religious and racial issues. Someone thinking they are better than others.
And yes, my father is Yoruba from Lagos state and my mum is of mixed heritage majorly Yoruba and West Indies. So I am not a bigot. 1 Like |

OP,
I'd hoped to see something more insightful.
Of course. Education is the gateway to true prosperity. This has been the wheels upon which the Yorubas rode.
While other tribes are beginning to realise the importance of education, the Yorubas are already actualising it's benefits.
The first and foremost in everything education as far as Nigeria. |
