To correct this misleading thread

S32, S33 and S36(1) of the electoral act must not be read independently of each other, doing so will lead to faulty conclusion
AG Abia State vs AGF
This is my POSITION on the Kogi poll following the death of Audu. Next tweet S.36(1) Electoral Act applies in the circumstances. Here, INEC, following the death of a candidate before the poll ( in this instance
before the poll in the cancelled polling units), is empowered by the law to further postpone the poll by another 14 days2/In effect, the fresh poll is expected to be held in the next 21 days. S.33 Electoral Act pursuant to S.32 empowers the APC to substitute
What in my opinion is open to APC is either to substitute The dead candidate Audu with Faleke or with a candidate from the same zone as Audu (Perhaps Ocholi SAN/Bello?). APC therefore doesn't have to conduct a primary.
Go read S 32, 33 and 36 Electoral Act, 2010 (Provided) if in doubt

Does that means the election conducted yesterday is invalid ?

And please be reminded that the candidate died after the main election not before the election.

The rescheduled election is supposed to be the continuation of the main election and definitely not the beginning of a fresh one.

Audu voted already and his vote was counted before his death so technically there was a legally scheduled and conducted election.

What's your position? You only raised a lot of questions without making your position known to us. He stated his position that S 36 is inapplicable; so what's yours? Are in line with him or against him?

Lesson for all. Help others with the little you have. you do not need more than two bed room flat to live as a human. Our forefathers lived their lives in mud houses and they were happy so I wonder why you want to acquire all the wealth in life before you die.
