Four men suspected to be members of the armed robbery gang that robbed some banks in Agbara, Ogun State, last Thursday, have been nabbed in Sapele, Delta State, by the police and have confessed to having carted away N28m in that operation.

In their statements to the police, the gang has also confessed and claimed responsibility for the killing of seven DSS operatives on September 16, 2015.

Reports by our correspondents have it that the gang engaged the men of the IGP Special Intelligence Response Team in a shootout which resulted in the death of another policeman before they will eventually overpowered.

It would be recalled that it had been widely reported in the media last week that 40 members of a robbery gang stormed Agbara Town in Ogun State and unleashed monumental terror on the town, robbing four commercial banks, killing a police corporal, Kadiri Aliyu, and making away with millions of naira.

They allegedly arrived in police and military uniforms and blew up the rotor doors of the affected banks with dynamites during the operation.
