With the current and persistent agitation from some region in the country, calling for the break up of the country into sections, it is important to know that this call has more negative consequences than benefits if actualized and it is the peculiar boast of our country Nigeria, that her happiness is alone dependent on the collective wisdom and virtue of her citizens and does not rest on the exertions of any individual but a collective effort from us all.

I know the country is indeed sickened with unfavorable conditions like unstable power supply, corruption and insecurity but the call for the country's break up should not be seen as a solution to these problems but rather will make things worse because we started the journey together and we can see it through as one if collective effort is applied towards the development of the country.

The unity our country Nigeria, should not be destroyed because of diverse ethnicity and religion. No matter where we come from or no matter our religion, we are one and let’s live together.

You owe your country a lot, because it gave you a chance, schooling, independence of action, opportunity of service and honour. If you have all these at your disposal, then what else do you wish for?

So my good friends of Nigeria, let us be wise and remember that the grass will not be greener on the other side if Nigeria eventually breaks up. Let’s work together and see ourselves through this time of trials. God bless Nigeria
