Dear Sir,

OPEN LETTER TO OAU VC, PROF BAMITALE OMOLE
Greetings to you sir, I hope this meets you well.
I am highly glad to write this letter addressed to your person as I have taken it upon myself to intimate you about some happenings on OAU Campus since I know you are not aware of such happening because I trust that if you were aware you would have taken swift action to rectify the issues am about to raise but I understand you, since even Buhari has no singular knowledge of happenings in Nigeria since he isn't so close to Nigeria, same with you sir, since you are not so close to students am not surprised that you have not done some important things.
I have also decided not to include my name not because am afraid but I do not seek cheap popularity from this article rather I want you to read and act.
Thank you in advance Our great VC.
Sir, I know you are not aware of the bad shape of hostels the inhuman conditions of living even after increase in school fee , I want to believe that you must have signed a huge amount towards renovation of hostels but those you sent the message to renovate must be the reason for the delay in hostels renovation, I recommend that you should personally pay hostels visit to see the ghetto conditions there.
Since you have a good working relationship with students I will implore that you should personally visit Awolowo hall, since a leader should at least check on his followers , am saying this because I believe for you to spend millions on the new senate building definitely we should expect a reciprocal improvement in hostels, atleast students paid almost 100000 naira expecting better welfare and we can see nothing now, kindly call your workers who you must have awarded hostel renovation to, to order, they are doing nothing.
I know you are not aware so I need to tell you, I trust that if you were aware you would have acted as every leader should.
Sir, I need to tell you that we don't have lecture theaters in OAU, since you increased the fee by almost 200 percent I think multiplier effect should have taken place but it took place badly as we are retrogressing, I want to tell you sir that our lecture theaters encourage mass failure, we have not seen any change since the increment, water, light now fluctuates.
All this things now go against financial ethics and economic principles, remember one of the reasons why you said the increment of fee was necessary is the fact that you think OAU needs modern facilities but they cost much, sir we have not seen the new facilities or perhaps those who should put them to use in our halls, labs, lecture theaters have refused to do that, sir why don't you instruct them to do so since you have the powers.
Vice Chancellor sir, also quality of lectures have dropped, even when we did not agree to fee hike you implemented it and now we are rather suffering damage than good .
I hope to see you acting soon at least now that I have told you what you did not know before, we should see change, if half of what will be spent on the titanic ship ( New Senate building) will be spent on hostels, I will be glad since students are also stakeholders on OAU Campus.
Thanks in advance.

Signed
Concerned Great Ife Student, Larrysam
