British boxer Tyson Fury in the early hours of Sunday defeated former World boxing champion to become the new WBO IBF World heavyweight champion. Fury achieved the unprecedented feat in the Dusseldorf arena in Germany in front of over 50 000 fans including his wife. After the win, a super happy Fury had this to say “What more can I say. I always said what I would do and I
delivered tonight. I didn’t have this confidence for nothing.
“I knew all along I could win the fight. I saw in his eyes that he was going to
lose this fight.”
meanwhile praises have been ringing from all quarters for the Brit. Fellow Mancunian and former heavyweight champ Ricky Hatton tweeted:

his wife.
The new champ - that’s what he is, remember - performed a not-so-perfect
rendition of I Don’t want to Miss a Thing.

Tyson fury has given an emotion-filled speech in the aftermath of the fight -
and who can blame him?
He said: “This is a dream come true. We have worked so hard for this. For six
months, I put everything into this and I can’t believe I’ve done it.”
The devout Christian Traveller said: “I believe in the power of Jesus. He is my

Germany and win.”
the new champ also said: “It was a tough task coming here, that’s why he’s
avoided me for the last five years. People can say what they want about me,
he was hanging on for dear life in that fight all the way through.
“I’ve got to give the judges their fair dues as well. I thought I had to get a
knock out but they showed me that love in Germany.
“He’s been a great champion, but every good dog has its day. Tonight is that
start of a new era. I’ll be the most charismatic champion since Muhammed
Ali.”
