i just skimmed through the whole article (we've gotten so used to this in nigeria)....but did i just see 60, 000 rounds of ammunition shocked shocked shocked....something has to done, we have robbers robbing people in the city and bokoharam robbing our soldiers of arms and ammunitions

Dailymail quoted , has since retracted parts of the story. The story was written by a wailer, and the website is issuing corrections.

I know many at the war front who confirmed the Military HQ's version of the story. Few soldiers died. More than 100 returned to base eventually.!

if all politicians no matter d tribe or religion had put hands together 2 tackle boko.haram d same way we took out Ebola,we wud have been rejoicing by now...
but a certain party used boko.haram as a campaign just 2 get votes in deir favour...Wats d result now?

True or not, our soilders are poorly trained. No matter how many insurgents try to outrun a base, they should not be able to, becos of the firepower of our combined military might.
Every military position is suppose to have a QRF unit, they should be able to call on air support and such support show up in a matter of minutes.
Truth is our armed forces still not a mordern outfit.
It's time we outsource this war to people that can get the job done and stop losing more lives.

Nigeria's military has denied dozens of soldiers are missing.
Premium Times newspaper first reported the soldiers from the
157 Battalion, including their commanding officer, were missing
in action along with the tank, three artillery guns and eight
trucks including one carrying 60,000 rounds of ammunition. These almajiris just got armed for the December spate of terror attacks.
