Today, the management of Obafemi Awolowo University publicly announced that the students have been granted a mid-semester break. According to students, this is only a cover up by the school management to prevent further protests by the students against horrible welfare conditions amidst other demands. Also, it is perceived by the students that this is a ploy to deter students from making their demands known during the coming convocation ceremony as well as the coronation of the new Ooni of Ife.
