Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, the immediate past Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) has spoken up on allegations that he is one of the sponsors of the ongoing protests by pro-Biafran agitators.

In a statement issued by his media aide on Thursday, December 3, 2015, Sam Nwaobasi, the former Senate president informed that he is neither under house arrest nor any form of investigation.

“We find it despicable that some people have taken it upon themselves to disparage, embarrass, ridicule, insult and indeed incite the public against Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim, since he left office as Secretary to the Government of the Federation, through publication of bare-faced lies, fabrication of baseless stories and peddling of rumours on phantom issues that make no meaning or sense.

“We have resisted the temptation to join issues with these gangs of debased characters. However, there is a limit to what can be ignored. “Sen. Anyim is not sponsoring, has not sponsored and will never sponsor any protest by any group against the Government or our dear country Nigeria,” the statement read.

Nwaobasi also informed that the senator is being investigated for any such allegation, warning therefore that those behind the ‘dastardly and mischievous acts’ should stop forthwith. Never liked his party or what they stand for too.

But, I doubt if this guy can be the one sponsoring the Biafra joke. What is there exactly to sponsor? It is not like they are armed like Boko Haram? or would he sponsor those traders to close their own shops for them to lose money? no Ibo man in this life will do that.

Methinks, he went blabbering some where, and just like a fellow Ibo man,set Kanu up with some (Big Yansh) prostitutes, that is how they are reporting him to the authorities.

The Authorities, should leave this man alone. He is fat, soft and has stolen billions. He will not stupidly, risk losing his billions over a Biafra issue that will not put money into his pocket.

It is the EFCC that should be looking into his affairs.

I always saw Anyim as a humble and religious man. I doubted the story but if true he should dance the music.
