Come on, this is a university, you have people studying engineering, architecture, plumbing, woodwork etc. Why don't they put what they have learnt into practical on their school. Gone are the days when young people were happy to do community work. These days the women just want to sit on the sofa looking pretty with human hair watching African magic while the men want to do yahoo and show off in the club.

For those saying the was supposed to be a great school, y'all shud know that the situation of the hostel does not diminish the educational standard of the students. They are still as sound as students being given the best facilities. Despite the fact that conditions of learning are strenous, they do not give excuse for failure. OAU still remains the best!!!

Unfortunately the Nigerian government is unable to effectively manage and support its own tertiary institutions like OAU, but the SUG,private firms,NGOs etc can help to provide alternative avenues to manage and maintain these institutions...
This is why we shouldn't blame private unis for the fees they charge it's not beans to run a tertiary institution

Yes I agree with you, coz am also of the opinion that most destruction of this construction are penetrated by we student, but in a case where the management are so callous and they choose to tell the press lies that we are the one fabricating all this pictures showing how bad our hostel his don't you think we are not save?
