I'm not yet a farmer but planning on starting up with livestock then later plantain and vegetables. How's farming in Etche, soil fertility, security and acceptance by the community?

Ok. Farming in Etche is cool, soil ok, you can also add fertiliser if you want. In terms of security, pocket of violence here and there but the security agencies are working very hard to contain the situation, Etche people are predominantly farmers so the acceptability is high and cost of labour is low when compared with other areas in Rivers State here.

I have been doing cassava farm on a small scale but I want to go a step further. I want high yield cassava stems. Please where can I get agric high yield cassava stems in rivers state or other parts of Nigeria at an affordable price?

In other states, there river basin development agency... have hundreds of hecters of irrigated lands that they rent for #5000 per hecter per year... . But to know greatest surprise I went to the agency and they told me they have no land
... .. what did they do with all the lands

I don't think Trains work in PH but I may be wrong though.

I bought my land in Etche, Akpoku Community precisely

There is train station in Port Harcourt, it is located in the Town axis of the city, am sure of P.H to Enugu route, not sure of PH to Lagos.
