The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has urged politicians especially President Muhammadu Buhari’s All Progressive Congress, APC,-led administration to embrace God as a requisite for success.

Dogara insinuated that talks and faint human effort as revealed in APC’s defence and attack mechanism is inadequate and can hold no moss without God and the peoples support.

He disclosed this in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Turaki Hassan, in Abuja when he visited Keffi, Nasarawa State, to condole with the family and state Government over the death of the Emir, Chindo Yamusa II.

The APC led administration in the last 6-months has shamelessly failed to nail any of the numerous problems that have bedeviled the country.

These problems cutting across the economy, security challenges, petrol scarcity unemployment power failure, have only escalated without a blueprint for meaningful progress.

The ruling party has continued to be embroiled in playing the defence and attack game with the opposition and paid little or no attention to issues hampering the nation’s progress.

The Speaker stressed that the change mantra campaign of the APC can only be actualised with the citizens support and prayers for the government to succeed.

“Nigeria needs divine wisdom and intervention for the present crop of leaders to address the challenges facing the country.
“Even when we have good intentions, we cannot achieve anything without the support of the people.

“There is no human wisdom that can take us out of this quagmire except divine wisdom from God Who is all-knowing. That is the only way out,” Dogara stated

In essence Buhari’s numerous foreign trips across the continent on the claims of seeking high profile solutions from world leaders which has attracted wide criticisms may have no effect without support from Nigerians.

He further urged the people of Nasarawa State to emulate the life of the late monarch, who he believes left a legacy of peace.

“Peace is becoming a very rare commodity, particularly in the North, without peace; there cannot be any meaningful development in the society.”
“Everybody knows the situation we found ourselves especially in the North,”He added.

There is no way someone who has adamantly remained unteachable and impregnably rigid can exude wisdom in his leadership. When he goes about carrying himself as a demi-god, he surely will cut himself from the wisdom of God and the people and his timid hangers-on can only tell him what he wants to hear.
