The Nigeria international says his team is feeling support across Europe, even in England to dump Arsene Wenger's men out of the Champions League

Brown Ideye has admitted that Olympiakos are getting the backing to defeat Arsenal in tonight’s Champions League showdown.

The Greek side need a draw against the Gunners at the Karaiskakis Stadium to book a place to the next round of the Europe’s biggest club competition.

Arsene Wenger’s side are three points behind the hosts and need to win to fancy their chances of reaching the next round hence they settle for a place in the Europa League.

And Ideye who endured a disheartening season in English football at West Bromwich Albion, wants his team-mates to attack from the start as they target a place in the last-16.

“They're here to attack and score goals,” Ideye told EveningStandard.

“We can't wait for them, we must attack first. We respect them - they are a great side.”

Ideye also revealed that he had received words of support not only in Greece but from friends closer to the Emirates.

“I've had phone calls from friends in England who really want us to win. Everybody is behind us.

“I took my family to a shop and people wouldn’t leave us alone, urging us to win.”

Arsenal are without seven first-teamers for their trip to Piraeus, including crucial attacking players Alexis Sanchez and Santi Cazorla.
