ENUGU—Former National Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Victor Umeh, has said that the former ruling party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had no moral ground to cry over any form of injustice.

He said on the contrary, the PDP, should bury its head in shame.

Addressing journalists in Enugu, Umeh said, “What PDP did to Nigeria in 16 years it was in power is the greatest disservice to democracy.”

It will be re-called that the Appeal Court had on Monday nullified Senator Uche Ekwunife’s election on account of Umeh’s petition. The court ordered a re-run within 90 days.

The APGA chieftain maintained that even though he allegedly won the election, the PDP manipulated the process with impunity and allegedly used the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to declare Ekwunife the winner.

While mocking PDP over its complaints on the outcome of the Kogi and Bayelsa state governorship polls, Umeh said “even though the All Progressives Congress, APC, has not been brutal as they were, the PDP members are now weeping.

“PDP promoted electoral banditry, so, I am surprised that they are now crying wolf. They are made up of hypocrites. The PDP’s time has just ended, it should be dismantled.”

That was the mistake they made which PDP capitalized on. Chief Umeh was rigged out by PDP so you should understand he has a reason to be aggrieved
