20 Reasons Why Education Is Failing The Economy!!!!! Part2 by Honesty007(m): 11:15am On Dec 10, 2015
14)Redundancy:yes!! Years of corruption has denied a lot of workers benefits in monetary, material terms those they could have cooly made out of the office without much struggle.Pension, gratuities, stipends remain unpaid by a corrupt Government and retired workers who have no support again r rendered redundant like an unvisited farmland.what a pity!!! Is this life?
15)overdependence than self dependence.Students rely on many means just to make ends meet. Some loose their conscience, integrity, dignity, virginity, coordination and intelligence when poverty follows them to the university. These are those who rely on any means to become succesful. Success becomes a commodity that requires a price because of overreliance and overdependence as a result of poverty. The univerities is seen as only meant for the rich!!
Hmmmm. If i have money to buy textbooks, accomodate myself, eat, drink and sleep peacefully in school,y should i join the cults, gangs ? Y should i sleep with a lecturer ,y should i beg my coursemates for money? Its all because iam poor but still want to be educated at all cost!!! I felt used and at the end of education ''i would feel Much more used Than dumped!!
16)Violence: yes, student unions have been object of violence in schools.y? If each student where financially okay, if they had all they wanted,if no one was poor, there would be noo need to resort to violence in the wake of any deprivation of any social, mental, physciological or material need. But people too who r not financially buoyant join student union to survive.
Y must every school slogan be conditionally termed ''survival of the fittest? Who is deceiving who?
Y r u sent to school to survive?
Is education all about survival
17)Birth of Political mind:As an individual education has made ur eyes open to the terrain of political hatred, brigdage, agression, bitterness and unforgiveness.
So the porvertyt stricken ones have a mindset to make money and survive, don't blame them.'at the end of the day they survive and go back to square one again. They become violent because they passed through hell in school.you Think a poor mans mentality can ever change despite education? Lets be realistic!!!
Its rather unfortunate , politics is seen as abig time opporunist for the young generation. The wind carries them to whatever direction they r pushed.it is like giving a book to an uneducated person and he reads it well and when u give d book to an educated person,he says ''iam not literate. It is soo much confusion out there with politics. If u r educated its worse u will do than uneducated ones.
18)Servitude!!! Servitude!!! Servitude!!!!
Welcome to Nigeria's educational sector where servitude is the norm.If u cannot bend, u will crack!!
I tell you all graduates have been enslaved in a wrong way with the desire to achieve, succed and make it,unfortunately without the first foundation, such things cannot be humanely achieved. You would become a gown and wig wearing graduated baboon in order to succed as a professional,u must play a game of compromise and loose all ur educated knowledge morals and principles that once defined u as normal and hardworking before u enter a tertiary institution. In Nigeria where godfatherism is the order of d day at all working levels,u dare not bite the fingers that fed u!.
If as a youth u were well financially equipped before going to school,u would have a free thought after your Graduation. But now,u always have an enslaved mind, u can never be the same because u would start the journey of struggle than freedom after school. All other works apart from Farming is all one form of servitude.u must have been kicked, beaten, torn and trampled upon before u become something in this country. If u had a farmland or property before going to school, that mind could not have been in you!!!
19)Corruption:one of the main causes of corruption is Poverty.Man's unlimited want has made him a subject of greed, avarice and love of money.Everything goes wrong without money, but when there is money things work fine.It doesn't make sense. If u had money before u went to school u wont be thinking of corrupt acts to make a living. If u had an assest @ 18!!! Why should u think by making money should be what defines success in Life? If u make money and cannot eat ,then what is that? Do u call it success?.
So we see everyone throwing away their conscience, educational discipline, ethics, morals and even integrity despite educational qualifications because they wanna make it in life. They beocme crooks and rogues.you keep asking yourself if this guy/lady truly went to University only to turn outt a professional criminal.
20)Leadership:they keep calling us leaders of tomorrow but they dont have any plans for tomorrow. If we had a bad past, our future may be bleak if we don't amend our ways.
Lets return back to Agriculture, put food on our tables,be okay moneywise, then Education would just be an addition.

True about the Nigerian youth needing vats and vats of financial independence luck before venturing into manhood.

It's patronage-fueled slavery out there. The classic race to the bottom before their pent up frustration spills into the streets thanks to more viral nature of information now.

Hoping the current class, especially Buhari with a pre-1985 dutiful mindset breaks the vicious circle somewhat, for a start.

Solution starts with fiscal discipline & thoughtful allocations

NB:: High time the canard of 1.0km of road construction needing N1.0 billion was debunked for keeps. Nothing but PDP and Lagos APC lies
Credible figures from World Bank range btw N250 and N500 million.

Hoping Fashola checks his disingenuous shenanigans back home before entering Buhari's mix, for his own sake.

It's a new sheriff in.......
