In Exodus 25vs18 God commanded the making of a man made cherub of beaten gold on the ark of the covenant. So if making images is wrong God should be the first offender we are only imitating him. In Josue 7vs6 Josue wit al the elders of israel fell prostrate before the ark of the covenant with statue of angels on it and God did not take offence.
