-some have stayed 8 yrs without promotion(stagnation)
-they are the lowest paid FG workers in Nigeria(the mgt cut their salary by 50percent)
-the few that went to promotion since 3 yrs now have not been paid their arears,others
-the costliest medical centre in Nigeria.
-anti-people policies by mgt.
-demotion,stagnation,wrong placement,poor salary(different from other centres)
-sacking without due process
-unhidden voodoo practices
-etc

So the cmds of these federal hospitals are above the law abi? No one can probe their corrupt dealings, they are running the hospitals like their private properties. Nigeria never ready to better at all. After all politicians don't use hospitals here so why should they bother

Very Very Good! It was Long Overdue! Most of those doctors there needs to be Retired... They dont even offer medical treatments there anymore when you go there but will be redirected by the doctor to his OWN PRIVATE Hospital

It's obvious you don't work in the hospital nor stay in Owerri. The hospital has been shut down for more than 6 months by the paramedics & other health workers due to what they calm is the high handedness & maladministration by the Medical Director, Dr. Angela Uwakwem while she claims that the striking workers are against her policies aimed at increasing productivity and revenue generation in the hospital. The workers want her to go. A panel set up previously by the Federal Ministry of Health gave her a clean bill. Several interventions had failed. The Minister of Health was there two weeks ago to intervene personally in the crisis. Obviously, if the Federal Government shuts down the hospital for reorganization, heads will roll.

very very true! unfortunately,what my late son suffered in that hospital when he was alive eh? The hospital inflicted my son with illness and he finally died in another hospital in Lagos.

The hospital deserves to be shut permanently.

The Uwakwem woman may have meant well for FMC Owerri, but there are very clannish people who may insist she is bad


If successive Imo state govts since 2007 have completed and equipped IMSUTH Orlu which can serve the health needs of the whole of Imo state and beyond, FMC ought to have been a secondary hospital for Imo state. Orlu is about 25 minutes drive from Owerri

But parochial attitude and clannishness of some Imo people in high places have robbed Imo state a lot of things - even worse now than before. Many including the political leadership in Imo state believe that everything in a state must be in the capital.

Many from the Imo state capital may even want the FMC and IMSUTH be stationed in their door steps before they can accept them.

Now people of Imo state have to go elsewhere for treatment. ANAMSUTH in Nnewi or DELSUTH in Oghara are outside the state capital. But they have since risen to compete with some good teaching hospitals in Nigeria.

IMSUTH was established before ANAMSUTH and DELSUTH. Sorry for Imo state with its people's mistaken belief that the state capital is all.

Its a bogus hospital bringing fake doctors and nurses from India and looting Nigerians of their hard earned money
Everything is fake including the medicines sold there.
The director of this hospital Nitin Dewan is a uneducated rogue and a sexual maniac
no one knows how many wifes he has and how many children he fathered
Recently he made the women pregnant and she is the daughter of the Indian Orthopedic Surgeon here
He beat up the pharmacist and handed him over to police
Because Nitin Dewan asked him to fetch some abortion tablets to terminate his mistress pregnancy and the pharmacist leaked the matter to fellow Indians.
After these incident all Indians stopped working and planned to manhandle Nitin and he ran off to India.
