I'm directing this question to everyone. what if you were told that they were going to give you the job under one condition, that is you were going to be posted to either Bornu, Yobe or Kano, wud u still take the Job?

@sarajevo, of course yes. We have soldiers serving there so why will one be afraid of going there meanwhile one would be trained on how to survive in a war zone. Not everybody will die.

soldiers live most of their lives in the barracks, unlike DSS agents who mix with the civilian populace and therefore stand a greater chance of being detected by terrorists.

I thought soldiers on patrol in uniforms are easily spotted. A DSS would be properly trained on undercover I think so

Like u said, soldiers on patrol meaning they are usually more than one at a post, unlike a DSS operative that moves alone around town for intel gathering, except when they are on a mission to make an arrest. You are more at risk than even a soldier, the chances of you being kidnapped are higher

Very true. One has to be fluent in hausa to be able to effectively operate in those areas. So just try to imagine wat it wud be a like if you are a very light skinned person from the south who doesnt even know a word in hausa is then posted to borno or yobe as an intelligence officer, wud u agree to take the job?

My fellow expectants,never 4get dat u signed up 2serve ur country,so whereva ur sent to,which eva unit u fined urself just try 2give ur best..If u survive d training skol then whereva ur posted 2,u must definitely survive..So if u ask me@ Sarajevo,I wuld serve my country anywhere,anytime,even in Afghanistan & I wuld do just fine..Whereva & howeva, NIGERIA FIRST..
