Jose Mourinho has been installed as one of the favourites to take over as the next Manchester United boss by a leading bookmaker.

A host of bookies have already made the link between the departing Chelsea boss and United hot seat with current Reds boss Louis van Gaal coming under increasing pressure after a poor run of form.

BetVictor and Betfred have made Jose the 2/1 favourite to become the next permanent manager at Old Trafford with Sky Bet moving him to 4/1 and Paddy Power slashing the odds to 5/2.
