I guess this post is directed more to the moderators.
I get the gateway error on some topics and I was wondering what causes it and how to avoid it.

It means the site is not loading, either from connection problems of your isp, or nl site.

This is a poblem you must discuss with the admin.

Anyways for the little i know, it occurs when the forum is loaded, or when the topic is loaded.

Yes, It happens mostly on jumbo threads, ( threads more than a 100 pages) thats why such threads are being locked.

The thread gets split and starts from page one as some of the threads in the forum games section.
